{"id":1059,"date":"2016-05-22T14:29:52","date_gmt":"2016-05-22T14:29:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/morgan-outdoors.com\/?p=1059"},"modified":"2016-05-22T15:10:47","modified_gmt":"2016-05-22T15:10:47","slug":"celebrating-catskill-waters-on-may-29th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/morgan-outdoors.com\/?p=1059","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Catskill Waters on May 29th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201c<strong>Celebrating Catskill Waters: Past and Present<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0 will be on exhibit at Morgan Outdoors<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, May 29<sup>th<\/sup> through Sunday, July 10<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re invited to an Opening Reception and a special presentation by John Conway <strong>on<!--StartFragment--><strong> Sunday, May 29, 2016<\/strong>.<!--EndFragment--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the exhibition period, several additional presentations and hikes along headwaters are planned.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>EXHIBITION DETAILS<\/strong><\/span>:\u00a0 On loan from the <strong>Time and the Valleys Museum<\/strong> in Grahamsville, NY, the collaborative exhibition <em><strong>\u201cCelebrating Catskill Waters: Past and Present\u201d<\/strong><\/em> explores the enjoyment Catskill waters have brought to area residents and visitors through SWIMMING, FISHING and BOATING over the past 150 years.\u00a0 More than 35 individuals, museums, historical societies and municipalities in Sullivan County joined together to create this exhibition, including the Sullivan County Historical Society, Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, Catskill Watershed Corporation, Basket Historical Society of the Upper Delaware Valley, Sullivan County Historian John Conway, Debra Conway of The Delaware Company,\u00a0 and the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River, NPS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 29 at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">4:00pm<\/span>:\u00a0 <\/strong>Sullivan County Historian,<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <strong>John Conway<\/strong><\/span>, kicks off the exhibition, examining the recreational uses of Catskill waters in his presentation &#8220;<strong>Rivers and Lakes and Streams, Oh My!
