There will be exotic and domestic pet birds at the presentation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Saturday, <strong>Oct. 1<\/strong>, 3:00 \u2013 4:30 pm<\/span>:\u00a0 <strong>Birds in Sullivan County<\/strong> with John Haas and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebashakill.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bashakill Area Association.<\/a>\u00a0 John will be signing his book \u201cA Birding Guide to Sullivan County, New York\u201d. Great chance to find out where &amp; when to find birds in our area, with special focus on the Basha Kill.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Sunday <strong>Oct. 9<\/strong>, 12:00 \u2013 1:30 pm<\/span>:\u00a0\u00a0 Learn to fold <strong>Origami Birds<\/strong> with Joanna Hartell. The class will be easy enough for children (7 and up) and adults. Paper will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>RSVP to us at 845 439 5507 so we have enough chairs and refreshments!<\/p>\n<h3><!--EndFragment--><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Birds at Home<\/span> will run<\/h3>\n<h3>September 3 \u2013 October 10, 2016<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Curated by Joanna Hartell, it features art work by<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Robyn Almquist, Elizabeth Ennis, Donna Greenthal, Joanna Hartell, Margaret Heffernan, Ann Higgins, Kate Hyden, James Karpowicz, Pat Sprott, Valerie Taggart and Naomi Teppich.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures by these area artists focused specifically on the birds we see around our homes.<\/p>\n<p>Humans often have a more direct connection with birds than other wild animals, because we love their songs, enjoy their aerobatics, and compulsively watch them. Birds are part of the human experience, and this show focuses on the relationship between humans and birds \u2013 at home, in the yard, and in our imaginations.
