Huge, beautiful color photographs from the book \u201cLand<\/strong> of Little Rivers<\/strong>\u201d encircle the space, with a map display showing the incredible trails throughout the Catskill Park.<\/p>\n Sunday,<\/strong> <\/span><\/span>July 30, 1:00pm<\/span><\/span>:<\/strong><\/span> we\u2019ll hike at Frick Pond<\/strong><\/span> (headwaters of Willowemoc Creek) and survey the new beaver dam in progress. The 2.2-mile loop trail is uneven terrain with a few wet\/muddy patches. Waterproof shoes & bug repellent are a great idea. No dogs on this hike.<\/p>\n Optional stop at The DeBruce<\/strong> to enjoy a tall, cold libation in the Club Room. The homemade lemonade is incredible – and their delectable menu is very thoughtfully and locally prepared. Yum! The beautiful inn and its fabulous dining options opened in May and is right on the route of our return trip. www.thedebruce.com\/<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sunday, August 13<\/strong>, <\/span>10:00am<\/span>: <\/strong>\u00a0let\u2019s hike up to the pond on the Shavertown Trail<\/strong> <\/span>overlooking Pepacton Reservoir. Did you know it is actually the East Branch of the Delaware River? We\u2019ll join Ann Roberti, who helped construct the Shavertown Trail, for a special outing celebrating the nearby town of Andes.<\/p>\n Roundtrip distance is 2.3 miles. An uphill hike is rewarded with a beautiful view overlooking the reservoir and a stroll around the scenic pond. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks or lunch. Well behaved dogs are welcome.<\/p>\n The trail is 19 miles from Morgan Outdoors near the Pepacton Reservoir\u2019s Shavertown Bridge Boat Launch. We\u2019ll provide driving directions if needed.
