meet at the Smallwood Post office, rather than the Reserve parking lot. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We will carpool to the Reserve parking lot 1 mile away. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Come prepared to carpool <\/span>by making space in your own car or<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

have <\/span>your hiking items ready to transfer to another person’s car.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To get there from 17B, turn\u00a0onto Pine Grove Road (located across 17B from Citgo gas station. Post office is located ONE MILE from this intersection ON RIGHT.<\/span>
\n<\/span>We will have individuals waiting to greet you at both parking lots.<\/span><\/span>

\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lisa from Morgan Outdoors<\/strong> and Cindy Taylor of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy<\/a><\/strong> will lead a Snowshoe Hike<\/strong> at The Forest Reserve at Smallwood<\/strong>, a 134-acre protected property in Bethel, New York. The 1-mile loop is on fairly even terrain, with gentle hills through white pines and along White Lake Brook.<\/span><\/p>\n

Snowshoes are available for rental in advance from Morgan Outdoors.<\/p>\n

If the ground is not snow-covered, the event will be a hike. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dress warmly with appropriate waterproof footwear. Snowshoes will not be provided at the meeting location; participants must bring their own.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hike is free and open to the public, but space is limited and prior registration is required.<\/p>\n
