The experienced trip leader is Lisa Lyons of Morgan Outdoors in Livingston Manor.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-987\" src=\"https:\/\/morgan-outdoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Parksville-Rail-Trail-late-Summer-13-Photo-by-Lisa-Lyons1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/morgan-outdoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Parksville-Rail-Trail-late-Summer-13-Photo-by-Lisa-Lyons1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/morgan-outdoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Parksville-Rail-Trail-late-Summer-13-Photo-by-Lisa-Lyons1-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>TRAIL<\/strong>:\u00a0 This Parksville Rail Trail outing is <strong>1.5 miles roundtrip<\/strong>, on a fairly level former O&amp; W railbed along the scenic Little Beaverkill, a tributary of the Delaware River. There are several benches along the route. Participants should be able to walk 2 miles unassisted and have permission from their doctor, if under medical care.<\/p>\n<p>The leader will help you select the outings that best fit your physical capability. There will be hiking poles available at no cost, with simple coaching on how to use them to improve stability and enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THEME<\/strong>: The hike\u2019s theme is the <strong>Delaware River watershed<\/strong> and participants will become familiar with its geography and topography.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEET<\/strong>:\u00a0 at the <strong>Parksville Rail Trail parking area<\/strong> on Main Street, Parksville, just off of Route 17 at Exit 98. There is a large trailhead sign at the entrance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REGISTRATION<\/strong> is required for this<strong> free<\/strong> outing.
