This will be a 60-minute (approx. 1 mile) round-trip walk along wide, gently uphill carriage roads. The trip leaders are volunteers Lisa Lyons and Ruth Huggler, with support from Liberty Parks &amp; Recreation. The hike takes place before the leaves unfurl, offering participants a chance to see what the views must have been like when most of the mountain was cleared.\u00a0 Dogs on leash are welcome; please register them in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REGISTER<\/strong> by SATURDAY, MARCH 23 by calling Lisa at Morgan Outdoors (845) 693-4181. Registrants will receive the meeting location and other hike details. Several pairs of hiking poles will be available to sample<em>. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walnut Mountain is a 265-acre Town Park &#8211; with historic carriage roads and recently constructed mountain bike trails adding to Liberty Parks &amp; Recreation&#8217;s trail network.
