Join us for this inaugural bird watching walk along the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail. The Sulivan O&W Rail Trail Alliance teamed up with Sullivan Audubon Society President Maura Muller and longtime Audubon member Kathy Scullion to lead a short hike along a section of the Hurleyville Rail Trail that skirts past Shaddock Pond, a local hotspot for migratory birds. The Rail Trail is a paved trail friendly to people of all ages and mobility. This walk is free and open to the public.
After the hike, participants are invited to enjoy a complimentary hot beverage and a snack at Forage & Gather Cafe located next door to Morgan Outdoors at 234 Main Street. In addition, everyone who joins us will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of “A Birding Guide to Sullivan County New York” by John. H. Haas courtesy of Morgan Outdoors!
