 Sunday. Oct 9,   1:00 – 3:00pm: 

 Tortoise and Hare Hike at Frick Pond

Enjoy fall colors set off by the scenic waters of Frick Pond.  Pick the hike that suits YOU!   Tortoise: a 2.2 mile saunter around the pond or Hare: a 4.1 mile scamper with 1.1 mile uphill. Meet at Frick Pond trailhead at 1:00 PM.

Tuesday, Oct. 4, 10:30 – 3:00pm: 

 Convergence Hike to Balsam Lake Mountain

Simultaneous hikes from South or North sides of mountain meet at summit! Co-led with Laurie Rankin and Dr. Michael Kudish, Catskill forest historian.

Learn history of forest summit, see one of three peat bogs. Enjoy views from fire tower. Bring picnic lunch. 3.5 miles roundtrip.  10:30am: Leaving from the South trailhead at end of Beaverkill Road (Lew Beach/Beaverkill area)
