You’re invite to a Senior Stroll

Wednesday, July24th at 4:00pm

at Walnut Mountain Park in Liberty, NY.

This group outing is the third of a monthly series aimed at engaging folks age 60 and up to come out and enjoy several beautiful beginner trails in Sullivan County. The experienced trip leader is Lisa Lyons of Morgan Outdoors.

We’ll take a look at the ADA accessible trail at Walnut Mountain Park  currently being constructed by the Friends of Walnut. There will be hiking poles available to use at no cost, with simple coaching on how to use them to improve stability and enjoyment.

This outing is 1.5 mile in length, on a fairly level terrain with a gentle ascent for a ¼ mile.  Participants should be able to walk a mile unassisted and have permission from their doctor if under medical care. Future Senior Strolls will be different lengths and difficulty so that participants can find an outing that fits their ability level.

REGISTRATION is required!
