Frick Pond Loop Trail

Come celebrate the New Year with fresh air and friendly folks. This scenic 2.2-mile loop trail is inviting for beginners and pleasing to more experienced hikers. Our path will take us through a hemlock grotto with views across the pond, across a trail intersection strangely named Times Square, and along the edge of a woodland meadow. Trip leader: Lisa Lyons.

WEAR waterproof hiking boots and warm layers, BRING traction devices (microspikes, Stabilicers or Yaktrax) to tame the icy trail conditions.  If you need to rent traction, we carry Microspikes and will have a special $5/pair rental rate on Dec. 31st. So come in and get ’em on Dec. 31st so everyone comes to the trail ready to go! No pets this time. The outing will be held unless there are hazardous driving conditions.

REGISTER (required): email or call [email protected] or (845) 439-5507. Group size limited.

Meeting location: Frick Pond Trailhead, Beech Mountain Road, Willowemoc Wild Forest, (41.9573491°N, 74.6912198°W)
